What is the Oneness Diksha ?

The Oneness Diksha it’s a phenomenon which has as a main effect the development of oneness of the human race, also promoting at the same time the overcoming of divisions and the growth of people’s level of awareness. It has its source in Amma and Bhagawan, founders of Oneness University.

Diksha (or deeksha) is a term which has its origin in the Sanskrit language, which can be translated in Italian as “transfer of Energy”, it occurs thru hand contact on the head or thru intent. Its aim is to re-establish a sense of connection with all that surrounds us, allowing us in this way to improve the relation with one’s self, with the people we love, and in general with the people we relate to.

The Oneness Diksha is experienced in very different ways from person to person. We can feel a state of simple relaxation, of wellbeing, of oneness with the other people, of peace and love without a particular reason, or joy and gratitude for the only fact of existing.

Current studies at the Pennsylvania University coordinated by Prof. Andrew Newberg are researching the possibility that the Oneness Diksha could activate a neurobiological change in the brain, where there are several “centers” responsible for specific sensorial experiences and perceptions, as the emotions of jealousy, hatred, fear, compassion, love, joy, separation, connection, creativity, learning, and so on. The Oneness Diksha is an energy which activates certain centers and switches off certain others, generating in this way a change in the perception of life and in the way of experiencing it; the current studies are searching for scientific evidence of such effects.

The Oneness Diksha is given by placing the hands on the receiver’s head for about a minute , and current studies are studying the effects of possible reductions of the neurological activity of the parietal lobes of the brain and the increasing of that of the frontal lobes which follows.

This involves a series of transformations which lead to the overcoming of the sense of “separation”, sense which is obviously functional to our practical life, because it makes us feel the difference between an “I” and a “you”, allowing us to move in physical space and to program ourselves in time, but which prevents us to feel, as we on the contrary are, part of a Whole.

The Oneness Diksha helps to free oneself from the negative emotional patterns, which are often repetitive and destructive, in such a way as to feel more at ease with oneself, also improving the relations with others. Another effect of the Oneness Diksha is the stimulus and the activation of the ability to get in touch with our “spiritual “ side, in the broadest sense of the term, that we can also call our journey of inner discovery….
